FLASHDANCE – THE MUSICAL tells the inspiring and unforgettable story of 20-year-old Alex, a welder by day and “flashdancer” by night, who dreams of attending the prestigious Shipley Dance Academy and becoming a professional dancer. When a love affair complicates her ambitions, she takes advantage of it to realize her dream.
Based on the Paramount Pictures film, this musical is an inspiration about the power of holding on to your dreams and love against all obstacles. The iconic soundtrack includes hits such as “Maniac”, “Manhunt”, “Gloria”, “I Love Rock & Roll”, and the sensational title track “Flashdance…What a Feeling.”
